Kandui have developed & trademarked WATER-SUKKER® range of masterbatches which are highly efficient at low dosage.
Desiccant Masterbatches can be widely used to take care of issues developing while processing plastics because of moisture and preventing moisture absorption while transporting. You will find multiple raw materials with moisture within, like fillers, pigments, and hygroscopic polymers.
Even the reprocess polymer might have a share of moisture within itself, as well. Whenever you are processing polymer, which comprises a higher moisture count, it will become porous. It will show some lower tensile or voids within the final articles or inside the blown or extruded sheet. When it comes to film applications, higher water content might give rise to bubble breakage.
How it works ?
Desiccant masterbatch chemically binds moisture during processing and allows addition of higher levels of Reprocess Polymers & Fillers.
AddKan Desiccant Masterbatches are based on extra pure Calcium Oxide minerals. These masterbatches are used in eliminating moisture in virgin and recycled LD, LLDPE, HM, PP, etc. These are mainly used in Blown Film, Moulding & Raffia (Tape & Lamination).
The use of moisture absorber masterbatch in packaging and molding lines has become essential for maintaining quality and avoiding defects due to water contamination.

Yes, it is compatible with both. In fact, it’s especially beneficial when working with recycled material that often carries residual moisture. Using a quality moisture absorber masterbatch prevents defects like pores or weak spots in the final product.
No, when used in recommended dosage, desiccant masterbatches do not negatively impact the mechanical strength or appearance of the end product. Instead, they help maintain product integrity by preventing moisture-related issues during processing.
